Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by delivering high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to the homes of registered children under age 5, at no cost to the family. The Missouri Imagination Library was made possible by legislation that identifies school districts as the local partner for this initiative. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for all children in Missouri age 0-5. There is no cost to schools for the books or the postage to deliver them.

Missouri Family Resources is a free statewide resource that houses a variety of local resources for families with young children. It is designed to be used by families and professionals. Users can search and connect to resources, community programs and childhood services for families with young children under 5. Users may also suggest updates to resource listings and can submit new resources to be included in the database.

Child Care Aware® of Missouri serves as a community resource on child care throughout the state. They help families find quality child care, preschool and after-school programs for their children. You can reach them at 1-866-892-3228 or through their website.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a short-term, safe haven for children birth through age 12, whose families face an emergency caused by illness, homelessness, domestic violence or overwhelming parental stress.

All services are completely FREE and VOLUNTARY.

Pattonville Parents as Teachers partners with The St. Louis Area Diaper Bank to distribute diapers to families in need. If families are struggling to provide diapers for their children they are likely struggling with many other needs essential for health and wellbeing. Because of this, the Diaper Bank and Pattonville PAT partner so families don’t have to worry about where to get diapers and are free to focus more intention and effort on meeting the goals and needs of their families. Put simply: diapers strengthen the lives of the families who receive them. The link above connects you to the Diaper Bank to learn more about their mission and vision.

If you are enrolled in Pattonville PAT and are struggling to provide diapers for your children, complete the enrollment form below. *Families must be enrolled in Parents as Teachers, participate in regular personal visits and meet the eligibility requirements.

Track your child's development using this resource. Check developmental milestones for children ages 0-5, ideas for learning and growth and what to look for to identify possible delays. This valuable resource is found on Missouri's Early Care and Education website. Check out their website for additional resources and information.

First Steps is Missouri's Early Intervention system for infants and toddlers, birth to age 3, who have delayed development or diagnosed conditions that are associated with developmental disabilities. If you have a concern for your child's development, we recommend starting with a developmental screening. Pattonville Early Childhood offers FREE developmental screenings for children ages 3 months to kindergarten entry. Click the link below to schedule a developmental screening.

Missouri First Steps

 

Easterseals Midwest is looking to increase autism awareness as well as provide more services for under-served populations. Easterseals Midwest is able to provide support for families who have a child with autism (any age) and/or those who feel that their child may have autism. Autism screenings are provided at no cost. Additional services that Easterseals Midwest provides include: Assessment for Autism, Parent Training, School Advocacy, Support Groups, Social Skills groups, etc. See the pamphlet below for more information.
